A code is onboarding, permissions and the billing meter in one. Two kinds: a dossier code is bound to one pre-built student and carries their whole record — issue it from a student on the People page. A generic code, below, is a shared role code with a use limit, for bulk staff or family onboarding.
A student code is the billing unit: it appears on the next invoice whether or not it is redeemed, and an unredeemed one is credited back in full.
