What travels between the apps
Three mechanics carry everything between the apps: hand-over buttons that give something to another app, Clarity standing in the source list when Exchange asks for a file, and Clarity as a source you tick for Ariadne. The interface stays monochrome; the small logos do the recognising. Übergabe, Import, KI-Quellen.

One shape, one grammar: verb + to + app, the app’s mark on the left. It appears wherever something in the browser has a natural home in another app — a deadline, a document, a meeting, a lesson.

The mark is 18px at 13.5px text, radius 5px, never taller than the cap height plus 4. It identifies; it never decorates, and it is never scaled up for emphasis. The live buttons are in place below.

- A document. Lands in the document wallet.

- Learning material. Becomes cards in a deck.

- A question about what is on screen, with that context attached.

- Something worth others seeing. Never a record, never a document.
- Open in Exchange
- Back to the record of truth, at the exact row.
Never “export”, never “sync now”. The verb says what the person gets, not what the system does.

Anything that came from another app wears a small provenance chip. You always know where a thing in your day came from — and can follow it back.
Clarity as an import source · Importquelle
Whenever Exchange asks for a file, Clarity stands in the source list beside the device and the cloud drives — because that is where the student already photographed it. Same picker everywhere a document is requested.

Clarity sits first because it is the most likely answer, and because its documents are already the right ones — the student put them there.
Import rules
Exchange reads, it does not browse. Staff see only documents the student chose to offer for this request — never the whole wallet.
A copy, with a link home. The file lands in Exchange and keeps a reference to the Clarity original, so a newer version can be pulled.
The student sees the pull. Every import shows in their access log with who asked and why.
Reverse works too. A verified document in Exchange offers “Save to Clarity”, so the student always holds their own copy.

Sources are things you tick — like plugins, but plainly named. Ariadne only ever reads what is ticked, the chips stay visible in the answer, and each source states what it exposes.

The answer names its sources
Yes — you have Chemistry, Lab 2 at 12:35 that day, and the consulate is a two-hour train ride each way. You would miss it. Your counsellor’s note says lab attendance is graded.

Choices stick per conversation, not forever. A new thread starts from your defaults, so a one-off does not quietly become permanent.

Work continues. A count, and that it is safe: “3 changes saved on this device”

A conflict. Both versions side by side — a person’s words are never auto-merged.

The real reason, and the data kept: “The file is 34 MB — the limit is 25.”

Switching apps is switching windows, not sessions — never a second sign-in. Badges count things you must do; Social never badges.

SocialNoOne event, one notification, on one device. The apps agree among themselves who tells you. Quiet hours are respected by everything except a safety escalation — and a student can never be muted out of reaching help.
Using the marks · Regeln
Only in cross-app affordances. Buttons, source lists, provenance chips, switchers, logs.
Never as decoration — not in headers, empty states, or marketing strips inside the product.
16 / 18 / 24 / 28 / 34px only, radius 5–10px, on --bg-sunken while loading.
40% opacity when unavailable — not greyscale, so it is still recognisable.
Never tinted, cropped or outlined. The mark is the mark.
Always with a text label except in a compact icon button, which needs a tooltip.
